Deborah J. Knight, 57, of Friendship, died the afternoon of July 11 at her home.
She was born May 10, 1949 in Damariscotta, a daughter of the late Floyd and Lona Little Delano. She attended Waldoboro schools and was a 1967 graduate of Waldoboro High School. On April 16, 1966, she married David C. Knight, Sr. at the North Nobleboro Baptist Church.
Mrs. Knight was employed over the years at Lusty Lobster in Medomak as a seafood processor, at Patrician Plastics in Waldoboro as a button sorter, and also at GTE Sylvania.
Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. Debbie always had a smile for everyone and enjoyed helping other people. She served on the committee of the Friendship/Cushing Food Pantry, and was assistant coordinator of the Serve Program.
In addition to her husband of more than forty years, Mrs. Knight is survived by two sons, Keith Knight and wife Brandy of Herkimer, N.Y., and David Knight, Jr. and wife Rose of Owls Head; two brothers, Gary Delano and wife Shelia of Waldoboro, and Mark Delano, also of Waldoboro; two nephews, Gregory Delano and wife Darcie of Friendship, and Andrew Delano of Friendship; a niece, Amber Delano Rytke of Rockland; and two great-nephews, Ryan and Colby Delano of Friendship.
Graveside service 11 a.m., Mon., July 17 at the Harbor Cemetery, Friendship.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coast of Maine Cremation & Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
