Dona Rae Gidney Ross, of Randolph, passed away on Oct. 16 with her husband by her side.
She was born in Augusta to Harry M. and Christine Faye Gidney on Nov. 6, 1951. On July 1, 1974 Dona married the love of her life, William (Bill) Ross, they were married for 42 wonderful years. She worked for Maine Department of Transportation for 38 years, something she was very proud of.
Dona enjoyed knitting, camping at Beaver Brook where they made many special friends over 20-plus years and travelling the back roads of Northern Maine looking for wildlife. She enjoyed spending time with her many close friends and her family.
Dona is survived by husband, William B. Ross, formerly of Waldoboro; son, Bryan W. Ross and wife Angela; granddaughters, Lexxus (her Pooh) Ross and Morgan (her Sunshine) Ross; sister, Jane G. Robertson and husband John; sisters-in-law, Georgia Hodgkins and Barbara (Tom) Wright; and brother-in-law, Larry (Sally) Ross and their families.

A committal service was held at the Chapel of the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta on Oct. 27.
