Donald G. Henrich, 70, of Maynard, Mass., died on July 16 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass.
He was the husband of Donna F. (Foster) Henrich for almost 48 years.
Born in Newton, Mass., he was the son of the late Paul Henrich and Muriel (Morse) Henrich, currently of Auburndale, Mass.
He attended Northeastern University.
A resident of Maynard for 41 years, he was an avid sportsman who was a life member of the NRA. He was also a member of the Plum Island Surf-Casters, the Harvard Sportsmen Club, the Massachusetts Wildlife Association, and was on a pistol shooting team for years.
When his children were young, he volunteered as a Boy Scout leader. He also enjoyed gardening, genealogy, and his pet cat.
He was an associate member of UCC Church of Bristol, and a member of the Union Congregational Church of Maynard, Mass., where he was part of the investment committee.
Mr. Henrich worked for Quadtech, previously GenRad, as a manufacturing engineer. He later worked at Fenwall in Marlborough, Mass. and Wal-Mart in Framingham, Mass.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves two sons, Kevin of Dracut, Mass., and Dean of Spokane, Wash.; daughter, Sonya Henrich of Columbia, Tenn.; sister, Beverly Caruso of Bedford, Mass.; one granddaughter; and three grandsons.
Memorial service 11 a.m., Sat., Aug. 4 at the Union Congregational Church, 80 Main St., Maynard, Mass.
Burial 10 a.m., Mon., Aug. 6 at the Bristol Mills Cemetery in Bristol.
