Donald Raymond Turner, 76, of Union, passed away at home on Sept. 18. He was born on Dec. 3, 1938 to Mary Winchenbach. Donald graduated from Waldoboro High and married the love of his life, Linda, in 1961. Donald loved to fish and was an exceptional bowler – he won some championships in the 1960s!
Donald was predeceased by his mom, Mary Winchenbach; son, David Turner; and daughter, Deanna Turner.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Linda Turner of Union; sons, Donald W. Turner and wife Liz of Richmond, Va., and Darrin Turner and wife Autumn of Marietta, Ohio; grandchildren, D.J. Turner, Abbey Turner, Rebecca Collins, Cruz Richards, and Claire Turner; great-granddaughter, Lindsey Richards; siblings, Donna Kelley and husband Dan of Wolfboro, N.H., and Dana Winchenbach, and Stanley Winchenbach and wife Katie, all of Waldoboro; several nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Chuck Clark.
A celebration of Donald’s life and cookout will be held at 1-3 p.m., Sat., Sept. 26 at 146 Townhouse Rd., Union.
