Edward F. “Skip” Thompson, 75, of Boothbay, passed away Oct. 26 at his home.
Skip was born Aug. 31, 1935 in Attleboro, Mass., the son of the late Wallace Edward and Lillian A. White Thompson.
He attended local schools in Attleboro. As a child, Skip summered in Port Clyde and moved and resided there full time from 1969 to 1974. In 1974 he moved to St. George until 1997 when he moved to Boothbay.
He was employed for many years as a truck driver working for various companies, including Wildcat Lobster, Webber Energy and O’Hara in Rockland.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael Thompson.
Survivors include his sons, Darrell Thompson of Attleboro, Mass. and Wallace Thompson of Pennsylvania; daughters, Paula Thompson-Wilkie of Attleboro, Mass., Carla and Sheila Thompson of Rockland and April Thompson of Denver, Col.; 13 grandchildren; and former wife, Jacqueline Thompson of St. George.
The family will hold a potluck supper at 6 p.m., Wed., Nov. 10 at Harmony Bible Church in South Thomaston. For directions call 372-6596 or 542-2336.
