Edward Henry Wall, 55, of Wiscasset, died April 21 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born July 19, 1952 in Damariscotta, a son of Martin and Lillian Lessner Wall. He grew up in Damariscotta and graduated from Lincoln Academy in the class of 1970.
He worked for Hunt Brothers Lumber. He later worked as a long haul truck driver for many years. He lastly worked for his family landscaping and hot topping business. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Wells-Hussey Post #42 in Damariscotta. He enjoyed all sports and was a life long Red Sox fan and NASCAR fan. His favorite driver was Rusty Wallace #2. He loved playing softball and baseball when he was young. He also enjoyed taking afternoon naps at his brother’s house. He was an avid hunter and spent many days hunting with his brother, Stanley. He was an excellent bowler and was often showcased on television bowling tournaments.
He was a devoted father and husband and loved spending time with his family. He also used to enjoy going to Wiscasset Speedway with his father-in-law, Albert Rines and brother-in-law, Gilbert Rines. He opened his home to many kids in the Wiscasset area and treated them like his own sons and daughters.
He was predeceased by a step-son, Ricky Burbank.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Heidi Rines Wall of Wiscasset; sons, Edward H. Wall, Jr. of Virginia, Devyn J. Winters of Wiscasset, and Enos Webster and wife Julie of Dresden; daughters, Martina Wall of Virginia, Kathleen Webster and fiancé James Johnson of Wiscasset, and Crystal Webster of Bath; brother, Stanley Wall and wife Kathi of Bristol; sister, Carol Curtis and husband Elijah of Damariscotta; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Webster of Dresden, Cody L.G. Webster of Dresden, Cheyenne Wall of Virginia, Brittany Wall of Virginia, and Ricky Wall of Virginia; nieces: Nicole Barton of Whitefield, Brittany Barton of Damariscotta, Heather Case of New Harbor, and Danica Benner of Bristol; nephews, James Libby and girlfriend Jackie Giles of Walpole, and Daniel Wall of Bristol; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Sun., April 27 at the Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. Funeral 2 p.m., Mon., April 28 at Hall Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Newell will officiate. Committal service 2 p.m., Wed., April 30 at Hillside Cemetery in Damariscotta.
