Elsie Turner Boucher, 67, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Aug. 9. Born in Powhatan, Va., she relocated to Maine in the late 1960s and enjoyed a full life in Augusta and Windsor for many years before moving to New Harbor.
Elsie, together with her husband Lou, owned and operated a successful business for 30 years in Augusta while raising their family. She enjoyed spending time with her treasured pets, crafting, collectibles, and antiquing. Family events and the water view from her home are examples of the things she loved and looked forward to the most.
A frequent contributor to various charitable organizations, Elsie also found joy in providing hope for others less fortunate than she.
Elsie was predeceased by her brother, Frank Turner.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Lou; children, Lisa Stark, Carl G. Stark and partner Jeffrey Kuenle, Debora Boucher and fiancé James Alley, and James Boucher and wife Ann; grandchildren, Katelynn, Nathan, Nicole, Ashley, Emily, and Alexander; great-grandchildren, Alphonse and Elijah; sister, Ann Elliott; and best friend, Pam Powell.
Respects may be paid to the family from 2-3 p.m., Sat., Aug. 15 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta. The family asks that your attire be colorful and casual.
