Evelyn L. Brewer, 81, of Boothbay Harbor, died at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick on Aug. 29.
She was born in Boothbay Harbor on Feb. 20, 1928, the daughter of Kenneth and Hattie Roberts Greenleaf. Evelyn grew up on Barters Island, Boothbay and attended school in the Boothbay area. She graduated from Boothbay Harbor High Schools.
Evelyn worked at Rocktide Motel for 30 years as a chambermaid.
She enjoyed playing beano, doing puzzles and was a big fan of the Red Sox and Celtics. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband, Norman Brewer; sons, Norman and Wayne Brewer; granddaughter, Leticia Bryer; brother, David Greenleaf; and sister, Louise Colby.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen Flaherty and husband Steve of Standish, and Laurie Brewer and Ron Martel of Trevett; sons, Michael Brewer of Boothbay, and John Brewer and wife Andrea of Boothbay; grandchildren, Tom Flaherty of Portland, Rebecca Flaherty of Biddeford, David Brewer of Trevett, and Kendra Brewer of Boothbay; and great-grandchild, Tyler Flaherty of Biddeford.
Graveside service 1 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 3 at Evergreen Cemetery in Boothbay.
