Everett “Butch” Phillip Muchmore-Jaskiewicz, 59, of Westport Island, died Dec. 8 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born in Portsmouth, N.H. on Jan. 2, 1948, a son of Everett Moses and Mary E. (Hackett) Muchmore.
He attended New Hampshire schools and moved to Norwich, Conn. as a teenager. In 1967 he graduated from Norwich Free Academy and in 1968 entered the U.S. Army, serving until 1974 in the 82nd Airborne. He was a self employed long line fisherman for 20 years in Beaufort, S.C. He then was a self employed carpenter and continued his carpentry after moving to Westport Island in 2005.
He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and coaching Little League baseball.
He is survived by sons, Robert D. Jaskiewicz and wife Tracy of Beaufort, S.C. and Matt Jaskiewicz of Washington; daughters, Angie Jaskiewicz of Long Island, N.Y. and Anna M. Drummond and husband Eric of Hawaii; brothers, Michael W. Muchmore and wife Ann of Westport Island, George A. Muchmore and wife Emmie, Thomas V. Jaskiewicz II and wife Kathy and Timothy A. Jaskiewicz, all of Beaufort S.C.; sisters, Linda Fabian and husband Jim, Susan Partridge and husband Billy, Tereasa A. Throne, and Mary K. Massalon and husband Alton, all of Beaufort, S.C.; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mike Muchmore, PO Box 1552, Wiscasset, ME 04578 and will be given to an organization that promotes seat belt usage and awareness.
