Flora Wallace Wotton, 95, of Friendship, died Aug. 30 at the Homestead in Cushing after a period of failing health.
Mrs. Wotton was born May 31, 1913 in Friendship, the daughter of Almond and Blanche Simmons Wallace, and is a graduate of Thomaston High School, class of 1931, and attended Rockland Commercial College for two years.
She was employed briefly by Clarks Music Co. in Thomaston before marrying Paul R. Wotton Dec. 24, 1936.
Together, they resided in Lynn, Mass. for over 30 years before returning to her family homestead in Friendship in 1970.
She enjoyed bird watching, going out to eat, and tending her flower gardens with her husband.
She is predeceased by her husband Paul R. Wotton, who died in 2000.
Survivors include her nieces Margaret Gagnon and husband Ed of Friendship, and Mary Ellen Sweeney of Amesbury, Mass.; many nieces and nephews; and friend Marcia McRea of Owls Head.
Graveside service 11 a.m., Tues., Sept. 9 at the Roadside Cemetery in Friendship, with Reverend Robert Dorr officiating.
