Francis M. Cooley, 59, of Damariscotta and a longtime resident of Stamford, Conn., passed away Jan. 14 in Damariscotta.
Born Dec. 28, 1948, in New York City, N.Y, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Louney) Cooley. Mr. Cooley relocated to Damariscotta in June 2007.
He was a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City, N.Y. and worked as a graphic designer for New York City, Westchester County and Stamford corporations. He later formed Cooley Communications, a marketing communications company.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel; daughter, Allison; son, Matthew; two brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service 11 a.m., Sat., Jan. 19 at St. Patrick’s Church, Newcastle. Father Fred Irving will officiate.
There will be no calling hours.
