Francis “Sonny” Soule Jr., 83, of Wiscasset, passed away at Maine Medical Center in Portland on Nov. 2. Born in Watertown, Mass. on Aug. 4, 1930, he was the son of Katherine and Francis Soule Sr.
Sonny was a true salesman, and worked at Strong Chevrolet in Damariscotta for over 45 years. While working there, he received numerous sales awards and accolades throughout the years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #54 in Wiscasset, as well as Vettes of Coastal Maine, which is an organization for Corvette enthusiasts. He enjoyed skiing, rowing his boat at the lake, gardening, and Corvettes.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Soule of Wiscasset; children, Dana Soule and wife Pam, Scott Soule and wife Amy, Katie Rackliff and husband Richard, and Cindy Chadwick and husband Jeff; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Peaslee and husband Fred; and brother, Dennis Soule and wife Jane.
A time to gather and visit with the family will take place 2-4 p.m., Sun., Nov. 10 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta.
