Ida May Pipkin, of Whitefield, died Dec. 17 at Miles Memorial Hospital, Damariscotta.
She was born Aug. 27, 1919, in Connecticut, the daughter of William and Harriet (Aspinal) Wright.
She was a member of the Chicken Club of Union, and past Master and other offices of the Southington Grange of Connecticut.
She enjoyed staying at home, visits from family, and getting phone calls and letters from relatives.
Ida was a school bus driver for Southington, Conn., and a dairy farmer in Connecticut and Whitefield.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Pipkin on Dec. 11, 2001; brothers, Alfred Wright and Harold Wright; sister, Carol Wadsworth; sons-in-law, Jason Edgerly and Fred Wallace; and grandson, Wayne Guenther.
Ida is survived by sister, Evelyn Masewicz of Southington, Conn.; daughters, Saramae Edgerly of Whitefield and Donna Wallace of Alna; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Keith Lank of Bristol, Conn. and Gail and Hal Thayer of Whitefield; nine grandchildren from Maine to Georgia; 30 great-grandchildren from Maine to Georgia and one from Germany; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2008.
