Isabel Jean Hoak, 74, of Wiscasset, died April 15 surrounded by her loved ones, following a brief illness.
She was born the daughter of Weston and Estelle Gamage in Southport on April 29, 1932.
Jean was a homemaker for the past 32 years, prior to which she was a dietary supervisor at Gardiner General Hospital.
She enjoyed Beano, swimming, country music, card and board games, and vacationing with her close friends.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, Wendall E. Hoak, and daughter, Brenda A. Hoak.
She is survived by her son, Gary W. Hoak and wife Okcha of Seattle; daughters, Deborah E. Doiron and husband Robert of Wayne, and Kim S. Hoak of Gardiner; son-in-law, John Peacock of Chelsea; and grandchildren, Wendy Peacock, Michelle Hoak, Reid Doiron, and Adam Hoak.
Remembrance service 2-4 p.m., Thurs., April 19 at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
