Jeffrey A. Gray, 52, of Bristol, passed away Oct. 7 at Lincoln County Healthcare surrounded by love. He was born Aug. 13, 1963 to Donna Mae Emerson Gray and Larry Gray.
Jeffrey was a graduate of Boothbay High School, Class of 1981.
Jeff worked in many jobs over the years, including masonry with Mark Lewis and lobstering with Jody and was stern man for many people in the region.
Back in his younger years, he enjoyed Back Narrows life and his extended family and friends. Surely there are many stories that can be shared from that time.
Jeff loved his family and music, especially rock and roll and blues, and would occasionally tolerate Andrea’s country music. He enjoyed his trip to New York to see Eric Clapton’s Crossroad Guitar Festival.
Jeff had a gentle soul with kids and animals. He made every adventure a little more comical. He will be missed by many.
Jeff was predeceased by his mother; father; grandparents, Phyllis and Paul Poole; and sister, Candy Barter.
He is survived by wife, Andrea Gray; dog, Chance; brother, Randy Durgan and children, Aaron and Sara; brother, Jody Durgan and son, Blake; Candy’s children, Kaitlin, Ashley, Madison and Matthew Connelly; grandmother, Elizabeth Rogers; aunts, Cindy Lewis and husband Mark, and Kathy Frizzell and husband William Dighton; as well as a huge extended family and many friends.
Visiting hours for Jeff will be held at 10 a.m., Sat., Oct. 10 with a celebration of life to follow at 11 a.m. at Hall’s of Boothbay. Doug Wood will be officiating. A reception will follow at the Knights of Pythias Hall, Boothbay Lodge #32, Lakeside Dr., Boothbay. All are welcome.
