John Ira Lewis, 48, of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, Jan. 14 at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ira and Barbara Lewis, who resided at Biscay Pond, Damariscotta.
John enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, going for rides in the car, and trips to McDonalds for his daily “dairy joys.”
He is survived by Joyce Manson and husband Gary of Boothbay Harbor; Kay Reed and husband Arnold of Westbrook; Roxanne Hagar and husband Chris of Newcastle; aunts, uncles, and many nieces, nephews and cousins; and the wonderful staff of Employment Specialists of Maine located in Augusta, who were like his second family.
A celebration of his life will be held this spring at his home on Biscay Pond, Damariscotta (date to be announced).
