Johnson E. Nein, 46, of Wiscasset, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 9. Born on Nov. 13, 1964 in Damariscotta, he was the son of the late Philip L. Nein of Wiscasset and Grace M. Nein, currently of Torrington, Conn. Johnson attended Wiscasset schools.
Johnson was a sweet and kind individual who will be missed by so many who had the good fortune to cross his path. He had made many acquaintances on his life’s unique journey.
He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved music, was an impressive chef, and always had a towering bear hug for everyone. Not only would he “give the shirt off his back” to someone in need, often he did just that. The world was a better place with Johnson in it, for he truly was a lover of people, always concerned with the human condition.
In addition to his mother, Johnson is survived by his sister, Gretchen L. Bergman of Torrington, Conn. and her children, Johnson’s beloved nephew and niece, Charles Andrew Nickerson, and Kaitlin Elizabeth Nickerson of Torrington, Conn.; sisters, Juli S. Nein of Torrington, Conn. and Sarah K. Nein of Wiscasset; brothers, Jason A. Nein and wife Melissa and their three little girls of Boothbay, and Joel G. Nein and his four wonderful children of Westport Island; and many cherished cousins, aunts, uncles and friends, including his very dear friend Clark Jones.
