Justin Russell Frey, 88, of Wiscasset, known to all as Russell, passed away July 21 at the Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta.
Born on Oct. 5, 1921, in South Bristol, he was the youngest son of John and Ethel (Kelsey) Frey.
Russell grew up in South Bristol, attending local schools. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed crocheting and loved to cook. He was very fortunate to make a living cooking for others.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews; as well as many great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Gathering of family to share stories of Russell 1 p.m., Sat., July 31 at the West Bristol Cemetery in Walpole.
