Kenneth A. McLoon Sr., 83, of New Harbor and formerly of Chelmsford, Mass., passed away on July 17 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, N.H., surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Lowell, Mass. on March 21, 1932, a son of the late Norman D. and Doris (Wilson) McLoon. Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, an accomplishment he was especially proud of.
Kenneth was a member of the Lions Club in Bristol and the William North Lodge of Masons in Lowell, Mass. Above all, he was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was the brother of the late Norman D. McLoon Jr., Phyllis McLoon, and Meredith Edmands.
Kenneth is survived by children, Kenneth A. McLoon, Jr. and wife Jackie of Londonderry, N.H., and Gayle A. (McLoon) Dembowski and husband Richard of Chatham, N.H.; and grandsons, Jason Dembowski, Adam Dembowski, and Kyle Machon.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell, Mass.
