Lance Michael Tlumac Sr., 57, of Wiscasset, passed peacefully in the presence of his wife and two sons on Aug. 9.
Born in Hackensack, N.J. on Sept. 28, 1957, Lance moved to Maine when he was 17 years old. He married the love of his life, Brenda on Jan. 13, 1979. He had a long and fulfilling career at Bath Iron Works where he took great pride in his work. His career was highlighted by his final assignment in Nova Scotia where he worked as a consultant to Irving Shipbuilding.
Lance was a member of several organizations that he felt very strongly about including the NRA, Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine, and the Elks. He had many passions in life outside of his family and career. He was an avid outdoorsman driven by the seasons. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, gardening, and spending time at their camp on Junior Lake with friends and family which were so dear to him.
Lance had an inquisitive personality, exploring his surroundings with great curiosity. He was an honest, respected, hard-working, steadfast man.
Lance is survived by wife Brenda; sons and their families: Lance Jr., wife Sheila Lawlor and grandson Owen, and Colton and wife Terri and grandson Hunter; mother, Gloria; and brothers, Al, Mark, Blaise, Neal, and Glenn.
