Lawrence G. Lakeman, 53, of Bristol, passed away Aug. 27 after a brief illness at Hospice of Southern Maine.
Born in Beverly, Mass., he was the son of Edmund W. and Jacqueline W. Lakeman of West Ossipee, N.H. and Port Orange, Fla. He was a graduate of Gloucester High School and was a lifelong fisherman and captain of vessels out of Gloucester, Mass. and Portland.
Besides his parents, he leaves two daughters, Kristina of Tampa, Fla. and Kelsey of Gloucester, Mass.; three brothers, Edmund W. of Dover-Foxcroft, Fredrick W. of Raymond, N.H. and John R. of Gloucester, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visiting hours. A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
