Linda Lee (Wellman) Miller, 60, of Waldoboro, died at her home on Dec. 26 after a long illness in the care of her loving family. She was born May 9, 1954 in Waldoboro to Russell and Grace Nash Wellman. Linda grew up in Waldoboro and attended Medomak Valley High School.
She worked in the seafood trade for many years shucking clams. Her family was the most important part of her life. She was a free spirit and very giving to family and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Russell D. Wellman.
She is survived by mother, Grace Wellman and companion Ted Sherman of Waldoboro; sons, Otto Miller III and companion Phoebe Boyington of Waldoboro, and John Miller and companion Katie Harjula of China; brothers, Robert Wellman and wife Shirlene of Norridgewock, Bruce Wellman of Texas, Dana Wellman and wife Christine of Turner, and Larry Wellman and wife Kim of Waldoboro; sisters, Nancy Carter and husband Raymond of Waldoboro, Karen Wellman and fiancé Henry Schmidt of Waldoboro, and Diana Winchenbach and husband Tom of Friendship; grandchildren, Jennica, Cassandra, Kallee, Gage, and Gavin; great-granddaughter, Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held 1 p.m., Fri., Jan. 2, 2015 at the Riverside Cemetery, Rt. 32, in Waldoboro. Pastor Tom Rawley will officiate.
