Lori Jo Meservey, 50, of Warren, passed away April 10 at The Sussman House in Rockport after a long illness. Lori was born July 12, 1964 in Rockland to Ronald Teele and Gladys Wentworth Teele. Lori attended Rockland schools and graduated in the class of 1984 at Rockland District High School.
After high school, Lori worked successively at North Lubec Canning Co., Port Clyde Canning and National Sea Products until they closed. She then worked for Mail Services-Target Marketing and retired in 2006 due to her illness. She was definitely a workaholic. Lori met Ray “Skip” Meservey at Mail Services and they were married at their home in Warren in 2001.
Lori so enjoyed animals “with a fondness” toward cats and dogs. Her favorite pastimes were watching the New England Patriots and NASCAR. During her illness she enjoyed her daily soap operas.
Lori was predeceased by her mother, Gladys; and sister, April.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Raymond “Skip” Jr. of Warren; son, Jacob Phillips; father Ronald Teele and stepmother Sherry of Rockland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond Sr. and Glenna Meservey of Cushing; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ralph and Loretta Dean of Thomaston; brother, Ronald Jr. and Kristin of Harwick, Mass.; brother-in-law, Jason Meservey of Warren; and sister-in-law, Debbie Joslyn of Thomaston.
A graveside service will be held later in the spring. Date and time will be announced in The Lincoln County News at a later date.
