Louise B. Young, 86, of Independence, Mo., passed away Nov. 6 at her home.
Louise was born Aug. 25, 1920 in New Harbor, to Perlie Edgar Lane and Flora Bell (Morton) Lane.
After graduating from high school she married Harold F. Young, who passed away in August 1993. Two children were born to this union: Joyce H. Walton and her children, Jean M. Crowley and Russell H. Crowley, both of Independence, Mo.; and Barbara E. Overlock and her children, Carolee Roe and Ronald L. Overlock, Jr., also of Independence, Mo. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Francis Aldrich and husband John of Rohrersville, Md.; step-granddaughters, Roxanne Cooper, Lori Kisner and Tera Melby; brothers, Lyndon Lane of New Harbor, Russell Lane of Bristol, and Lawrence Lane of Nobleboro; and sisters, Florence Elliott of Round Pond, and Hazel Genthner of Pemaquid.
Louise spent many years working for the Camden Nursing Home as a cook. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Graveside service was held Nov. 9 at Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence, Mo.
