Louise Wade Porter, 81, of Lincolnville, died March 8 in Rockland.
She was born Nov. 12, 1926 in Rockland, a daughter of the late Osborne H. and Sadie (Carver) Wade.
Mrs. Porter was a graduate of Camden High School, a member of the class of 1945. After graduating from high school she worked at the Singer Sewing Company in New Jersey. In November 1955 she married George F. Porter, Jr. She loved her home, family and flowers. She cared for her great-grandson until shortly before her death.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Porter is preceded in death by brothers, Osborne Wade, Jr. and wife Ruth, Norman Wade, and William Wade and wife Edith.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her daughter, Sarah L. Spear of Hope; two granddaughters, Michelle Booth and husband Ben of Camden, and Meredith Spear of Portland; great-grandson, Matthew Booth of Camden; twin brother, Lawrence Wade and wife Cassie of Ducktrap; sister-in-law, Ann Wade of New Cumberland, Penn.; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and close friends, Connie Beverage of Camden, Bob Porter of Lincolnville, and Margaret Basford of Stamford, Conn.
Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Coast of Maine Cremation and Funeral Service, Waldoboro.
