Louise “Pye” Brown, 84, of Boothbay, passed away Feb. 21 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness. She was most recently employed as a bookkeeper with her son Timber Brown’s Garage in Boothbay.
Pye was born in Darien, Conn. and attended high school in Norwalk, Conn. She was active in the crescent chapter of the Eastern Star and in the Boothbay Ladies Fire Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son, Timber Brown of Boothbay; brother, Samuel Comstock and wife Arline of Vermont; sisters, Jean Taylor, and Amanda Varbanic, both of Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Pye’s life 1 p.m., Sat., Feb. 25 at the Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay, with an Order of the Eastern Star Ceremony to follow. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Boothbay.
