Margaret Emma Hyson, 81, died peacefully with loving family by her side on March 21. Margaret was born in Boothbay Harbor to Arthur Stone and Emma (Fuller) Stone on Feb. 15, 1935. Margaret attended school in Boothbay Harbor.
Margaret loved and raised five children with her husband, Rendall, all while keeping an immaculate home. She loved to go camping and sitting by the campfire with her family. She and Rendall loved to go out dancing on Saturday night, and traveling to Florida and Tennessee with friends.
Margaret is predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Emma (Fuller) Stone; brothers, Ellsworth Stone, Glenwood Stone, Parker Stone, George “Tater” Stone and Arthur “Junior” Stone.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Rendall Hyson; sons, Ronald Hyson and wife Brenda of Boothbay Harbor, Richard Hyson and wife Tracey of Boothbay, Steven Hyson of Boothbay, and Glenn Hyson and wife Sarah of Boothbay; daughter, Kathy Tibbetts and husband Edward of Boothbay Harbor; sister, Mary Day Hull; grandchildren, Tony Hyson and wife Jennifer, Eric Hyson, Todd Hyson, Ethan Hyson, Evan Hyson, Hillary Hyson, Cory Hyson, Kristy Hyson, Benjamin Tibbetts, Rendall “Randy” Tibbetts and Christopher Hyson; as well as seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Thurs., March 24 at Hall’s of Boothbay, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay. Al Roberts will be officiating. A reception will follow at the Boothbay Fire Station. All are welcome.
