Mary E. Tudor, 83, of Pemaquid Harbor, died peacefully at her home on March 4. Born in Brookline, Mass. on Dec. 8, 1929, she was the loving and devoted daughter of the late Melton and Mary (Bateman) Tudor.
Mary was educated in Brookline, Mass. and graduated from Beth Israel School of Nursing in Brookline. She later earned her Master’s Degree from Boston University. Mary worked as a loving and devoted nurse at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Upon her retirement, she made her home in Pemaquid Harbor. Mary loved living by the ocean and sitting on her deck, visiting with friends and family.
She was a strong advocate for children’s education, striving to ensure that all children were able to receive the best possible education. She enjoyed serving on many local educational committees.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Melton Tudor, Robert Tudor, and Madeline Neal.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial visitation 4-6 p.m., Sat., March 16 at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta.
