Mary Theresa McCusker, 73, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away on Feb. 2 surrounded by her children after a short illness at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
Born Aug. 9, 1943 in Manchester, N.H., she was the daughter of the late Roland L. Brown and the late Louise M. Brown. She was a resident of Boothbay Harbor for 51 years prior to moving to Baltimore, Md. in August of 2016.
Mrs. McCusker was a lifelong registered nurse, earning her degree in 1964 at Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1993.
Mrs. McCusker spent her entire career as a registered nurse caring for the good people in the Boothbay/Damariscotta community, working 41 years at St. Andrews Hospital and Miles Memorial Hospital as a charge nurse in the emergency department.
She is survived by brothers, Ronald Brown of Somersworth, N.H., and Robert Brown of Rochester, N.H.; children, Stephen McCusker of Elkridge, Md., Debbi Roberts of Monticello, Ky., and Colleen McCusker of Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew and Sophia McCusker, Amber and Dean Roberts, and Sebastian Merryman.
Mrs. McCusker desired to have her ashes spread at Ocean Point in Boothbay Harbor.
