Maxine A. Little, 83, of Nobleboro, died Oct. 16 at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta, after a long illness. She was the widow of Malcolm Little.
Mrs. Little was born May 20, 1923, in Jefferson, the daughter of Alva Moody and Edna Orff Achorn. She grew up in Waldoboro, and was a graduate of Waldoboro High School.
As a homemaker, she raised her family and tended to her home and enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed flowers, canned 300-400 quarts of produce a year, and made jellies and homemade butter.
Mrs. Little was predeceased by her husband; and brothers, Richard Achorn and Everett Achorn.
Survivors include sons, Wayne Little and wife Rebecca of Waldoboro, Bruce Little and wife Nancy of Wake Forest, N.C., Warren Little and wife Penny of Nobleboro, and David Little and wife Cheryl of Nobleboro; daughters, Lorraine Collamore and husband Ellwood of New Port Richie, Fla., and Linda Rogers and husband Dan of Nobleboro; brother, Cedric Achorn and wife Jeanette of Waldoboro; sister in law, Barbara Achorn of Massachusetts; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours 6-8 p.m., Fri., Oct. 20 at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
Private graveside service will be held at the Orff-Achorn Cemetery, Waldoboro.
