Patricia Ann Labombarde, 60, of Waldoboro, died the evening of May 18 at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus in Damariscotta. She was born on Aug. 9, 1953 in Nashua, N.H., the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Cora L. (Landry) Labombarde.
Patty was raised in a military family, and together they travelled throughout the U.S. and Europe. She attended elementary schools in Germany and Fort Dix, N.J.; and Jr. and Sr. High School in Nashua, N.H.
Patty enjoyed antiques and collectibles. She loved going to flea markets, thrift stores and yard sales with her sister and sisters-in-law, or anyone else who would go with her. She held several jobs in her lifetime; however, she enjoyed being a home health care provider the most, caring for her elderly clients.
Patty was a free spirit and was considered by many to be a hippie from the Woodstock era. She traveled all around the country and had great stories to share whenever she returned from one of her adventures. Patty never met a stranger and tried to find the good in everyone. She enjoyed living in the Bar Harbor area the most.
She was preceded in death by her parents of Nashua, N.H.
Patty is survived by brothers, Bill Labombarde and wife Karen of Friendship, and Wayne Labombarde and wife Brenda of Searsport; sister, Phyllis Labombarde and boyfriend Kent Terrio of Harrison; and 15 nieces and nephews. Although Patty was not married, and never had children of her own, she loved being around her family and enjoyed the time she spent being around her nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Patty’s life will be held later this summer in New Hampshire.
Should friends so desire, donations in Patty’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham, ME 04086.
