Raymond Parker Thompson, 68, passed away in Waldoboro, on April 18. He was born in Rockland on Dec. 29, 1945, to the late Elmer and Bernice Harper Thompson.
Raymond attended Thomaston area public schools. After school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War.
Raymond moved to Massachusetts and began his career at Polyfoam Corporation, where he worked for 25 years until his retirement in 2012. He was a great dad to his two sons.
In his spare time, Raymond enjoyed camping, archery, fishing, collecting DVDs and woodworking in his shop. He was also a member of The Clan Thompson International.
Raymond is predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael Paul Thompson of Douglas, Mass., and Joseph Edmund Thompson of Douglas, Mass., and a brother, Stirling Allen Thompson of Linwood, Mass.
Seven grandchildren: Misty, Victoria, Jonathan, Edison, Celina, Brittany, and JR
Two great grandchildren: Coraleigh and Ryleigh.
