Robert “Bob” T. Greenleaf III, 77, of Freeport, passed peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Sept. 28.
Born on May 18, 1940, he was one of nine children born to Robert T. Greenleaf Jr. and Carrie E. Greenleaf of Westport Island.
Bob worked as a laborer and a lobsterman. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and spending time on the water hauling traps. He also enjoyed many hours of scenic drives with his dogs and the love of his life.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth Stinson; third wife, Dolores C. Greenleaf; his parents; and seven siblings.
Bob is survived by children, Stella Rich, Sondra Bean, Robert T. Greenleaf IV, and Michael Greenleaf and fiancée Margret LeClair of Moosup, Conn.; sister, Joyce Cressey of Buckfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and second wife, Dondra Libby.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
