Roger L. Dunning Sr., 71, of Dresden, died unexpectedly Nov. 14 at his residence.
He was born in Wiscasset on Sept. 24, 1946, a son of Lee W. and Gertrude E. (Grover) Dunning Sr.
He attended Wiscasset schools and was employed at various jobs in the Wiscasset area.
He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers Richard, Stanley. and Lee Jr.
He is survived by sons, Roger L. Dunning Jr. of Oakland, Preston Dunning and wife BobbiJo of Wiscasset, David Dunning of Wiscasset, Michael Dunning and wife Sandra of Woolwich, Adam Wright of Topsham, and Charles Dunning of Portland; daughters, Angela Dunning of Boothbay, Victoria Field-Martin and wife Regina of Hope, and April Lucas and husband Jeffrey Sr. of Edgecomb; brothers, John Dunning and wife Hope of Wiscasset, Sam Dunning and wife Carol of Woolwich, and Donald Dunning of Wiscasset; sisters, Joanne Hall and husband Gerald “Gerry” of Bath, and Lillian Love and husband Byard of Gardiner; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
