Roy Clifford Robbins, 72, of Wagener, S.C., entered into rest May 5.
Mr. Robbins was born in Brockton, Mass., son of the late Weldon Francis and Helen Gertrude Holt Robbins.
He was predeceased by brothers, Weldon F., Jr. and Bill Robbins.
Mr. Robbins was a U. S. Army Retired Veteran, having served in Iceland, Vietnam, Okinawa, Korea and Indochina.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eleanor Louise Keene Robbins of Wagener, S.C.; children and spouses, Dennis and Laurie Robbins of Waldoboro, Deborah and John Applegate of Pelion, S.C., Daniel and Dianne Robbins of Wagener, S.C., Diana Robbins and fiancé Benjamin Makinson of Williston, S.C., Donald and Jayne Robbins of Lexington, S.C., and David and Karran Robbins of Wagener, S.C.; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Everet Robbins, George Henry “Jiggy” Robbins, and Daniel McPhee; and sister Frances “Fran” Field, all of Maine.
Visitation 6-9 p.m., Sun., May 7 in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, S.C., (803) 564-5333.
Funeral Service 3 p.m., Mon., May 8 in the Bethcar Baptist Church with the Reverends Chris Addy and Leo Senn officiating.
Mr. Robbins will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service for viewing.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
