Ruth V. Horan, 58, of Wiscasset, died at her home on Oct. 8.
Ruth was a devoted wife and mother who lived and loved for her family. Despite her long battle with pain, she would always set herself aside for others.
Ruth was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Horan of Lisbon Falls.
She is survived by her mother, Jean Schenck of Boothbay; husband, James Horan of Wiscasset; daughter, Laura Horan and fiancé Neil Lewis of Lisbon Falls; son, Kevin Horan and wife Lisa of Brunswick; grandson, Lucas of Brunswick; brother, James Elwell and wife Nancy of Corvallis, Ore.; sister, Elizabeth Pierce and husband Michael of Wellington, Col.; sister, Susan Lamontagne of Portland; nephew, Jason Lamontagne and wife Shiela of Bath; and niece Kaylin Johnson and husband Seth of Wellington, Col.
Memorial service was held Oct. 14 at the United Baptist Church of Topsham. Internment service was held immediately after at the South Bowdoin Cemetery.
