Sandra J. Danley, 70, of Damariscotta, passed away Nov. 2 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
She was born in Biddeford Nov. 27, 1946, the daughter of Carleton and Lily Lessner Johnson.
Sandra attended local schools and graduated from Sanborn Seminary in Kingston, N.H. in 1964. She attended cosmetology school and later worked as a hairdresser in Dayton and Damariscotta. Her most recent place of employment was at Lincoln Home Assisted Living Center.
Sandra enjoyed motorcycle rides, dancing, cooking, gardening, and doing stain glass.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael in 2006.
Survivors include sons, Mark Danley and wife Karen, and Peter Lee Danley and girlfriend Kim Powers, all of Dayton; her friend and significant other, John Huff of Kingston, N.H.; brother, Richard Johnson of Kingston, N.H.; sisters Sharon Pike of Nobleboro, and Debbie LaValle of Florida; and grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Danley, and Julia, Monica and Eric Powers.
A graveside service for Sandra and her husband Michael will be held at 1 p.m., Sat., Nov. 11 at Hillside Cemetery in Damariscotta. Rev. Stan LeQuire of the First Baptist Church of Nobleboro will officiate.
