Scott Mitchell Plummer, 54, of Bristol, passed away on the evening of March 28 following a heart attack. He was surrounded by his loving family. Scott was born on July 5, 1961 in Damariscotta to Donna and Howard Plummer. He grew up in South Bristol with his brothers Chuck, Shawn, Chris, Toby, and his sister Marcy. He graduated from Lincoln Academy.
Scott was a beloved and proud father to Erin and Tyler. He coached their sports teams when they were young, spent countless hours doing “dad things,” and loved pulling pranks on them. As adults, he supported and guided their decisions, and enjoyed all his visits with them.
Scott was a graduate apprentice of the Outside Machinist department at Bath Iron Works, and later became a front line supervisor in the same department. Most recently, he worked at D&M Marine.
Scott enjoyed playing pool, snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, boating, taking care of his property, and being with his family and friends. Over the past few months, Scott spent much of time walking his new puppy, Shadow, at Dodge Point.
He is survived by his children, Erin and Tyler; Tyler’s wife Grace; mother and father, Donna and Howard; and siblings, Chuck, Shawn, Chris, Marcy, Toby, and their families.
A gathering to honor Scott’s life will be held 6-8 p.m., Thurs., March 31 at Strong-Hancock Funeral Home in Damariscotta.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bristol First Responders, 104 South Side Rd., New Harbor, ME 04554.
