Shirley Eileen Wyllie, 63, of Warren, passed away July 3 surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 7, 1951 in Camden to George and Gertrude (Beaullieu) King II.
Shirley attended Warren and Union schools and graduated from Medomak High School in 1970. She was an in-home and nursing home caregiver her entire working career, most recently for Coastal Opportunities.
Shirley met the love of her life, David Wyllie, in 1966, and they married in 1969. She loved to travel, especially to California to visit her son Dave Jr., and the cross-country trips she took with her husband. She also loved to go shopping, especially to lawn sales. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She fought and survived breast cancer in 2009.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Martin King; nieces, Autumn Roy and Sandy Peckham; father-in-law, Alfred Wyllie; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Moore.
She is survived by her husband, David Wyllie of Warren; son, David Jr. of Anaheim, Calif.; daughter, Lisa Bailey and husband Lyle of Warren; brother, Eugene King and wife Jean of Warren; sisters, Doreen Moore of Warren, and Allene Rose Roy of Waterville; brothers, Paul King and wife Debbie of Union, and George King III of Union; granddaughter, Taylor Pierpont of Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
