Silvia M. Leiper, 84, of Pemaquid, died on Dec. 6 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
She was born in Valparaiso, Chile on Feb. 4, 1933, a daughter of Humberto and Elisa (Garcia) Moretti.
Silvia married Jose M. Humeres in 1960 and moved to Nyack, N.Y. with her two children in 1973. She remarried in 1980 to Fred Leiper and worked in the travel industry until her retirement in 1998. They moved to Pemaquid in 2000 where she was a member of the New Harbor Methodist Church.
She enjoyed music, painting and especially gardening.
She was predeceased by her husband Fred, who passed away in 2015.
She is survived by daughter, Maria McIntyre of West Bath; son, Joseph Humeres of St. Augustine, Fla.; sisters, Carmen Moretti Sanchez, and Ana Maria Moretti, both of Chile; along with many nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no services.
