Stacy Rae Day, 50, of Alna, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 12 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. Born in Damariscotta on Aug. 26, 1965, she was the daughter of Colin and Marcia (Campbell) Hall.
Stacy grew up in North Newcastle, attending local schools and graduating from Lincoln Academy in 1983. She loved to cook, and through the years she worked at many local restaurants.
Besides her love for cooking, she had a passion for animals and the outdoors. She loved to garden, and enjoyed surprising her family with foraged meals, such as pigweed salad. She loved to camp with her family, Northern Maine and Warren Island were some of her favorite places.
She was predeceased by her father, Colin Hall; and uncle, Sammy Campbell.
She is survived by her husband, Sean Day of Alna; daughter, Meaghan Day of Edgecomb; son, Jason Perkins and girlfriend Katrina Kilduff of Jefferson; mother, Marcia Hall of North Newcastle; sister-in-law, Shannon Mahoney of South Portland; grandchildren, Krystal, Kayla and Alicia; brother, Arnie Hall and wife Jana of Jefferson; as well as a niece, and nephew, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m., Fri., June 17 at the Alna Fire Station in Alna. She will be laid to rest privately in the Alna Cemetery at a later date.
