Stephen Douglas McLean Sr., of Waldoboro, passed away June 12. He was born Jan. 11, 1954 in Rockland to Douglas Harold and Joan Sarah (Derosier) McLean.
Stephen attended Waldoboro schools. He worked for Fisher Engineering, as a clam digger, and ran machinery for various construction companies in the area. He started his own businesses, which included firewood, lawn mowing, and snow plowing.
Stephen loved his dogs more than anything. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, and staying home watching TV.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by children, Stephen McLean Jr. of Winslow, Lynn Kitridge of Pemaquid, Laurie Lamar and husband Mike of Friendship, and Stephen “Tiger” McLean III of Waldoboro; sister, Cindy Fales of Thomaston; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation hours will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tues., June 21 and a funeral service will take place at 1 p.m., Wed., June 22, both at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Jefferson.
