Stephen M. Plummer, 54, of South Bristol, passed away peacefully on March 9 at his home. Born in Damariscotta on Sept. 14, 1953, he was the son of Douglas and Carolyn Plummer, younger brother to Dale and Craig Plummer, and older brother to his sister, Andrea Plummer.
He lived in the small town of South Bristol most of his life, and graduated from Lincoln Academy in Newcastle. He had many jobs before starting his more than 30 year career at Bath Iron Works. He started as a pipe fitter in Bath, then became a planner, working at the computer in a Brunswick office.
He was the proud father of two, Leah and Luke Plummer, and also became a grandfather one year ago. He had a love for the outdoors and the ocean. He spent most of his spare time relaxing, watching the Red Sox and spending time with loved ones.
Funeral 3 p.m., Sat., March 15 at the Strong Funeral Home, 612 Main St., Damariscotta.
