Steven Alan Robinson, 67, of Waldoboro, passed away after a brief illness, on Nov. 10, 2019, at the Sussman House in Rockport. He died peacefully, surrounded by his wife, Glenda Robinson, and his loving family.
Steve was born on Sept. 14, 1952 in Rockland to Oren L. Robinson and Lila B. (Stimpson) Robinson. He attended local schools and graduated from Medomak Valley High School in the Class of 1972. He joined the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves from 1979 to 1982 and was a small arms instructor and achieved the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class (EM3). He received the Good Conduct Medal, Expert Pistol Shot Medal and Expert Rifle Shot Medal.
He was a builder and electrician and owned Robinson Construction: Custom Homes and Log Homes, and he established Birch View Farms in his retirement.
Steve enjoyed music, establishing the contemporary Christian music group, Offerings of Praise, travelling locally and to Florida. This group made an album including three songs that Steve wrote. He raised Belted Galloway cattle for show, and Birch View Farm provided beef, pigs, turkeys, chickens, and geese. He milled lumber, enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping and travelling and being around family.
He was a member of the Friendship Advent Christian Church and the Birch View Farms Co-op.
Steve was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Robinson of Waldoboro and Live Oak, Fla.; sons, Jeremy Robinson and wife Dana and their children Samantha, Steven and Arthur of Huntington, Md., Joe Robinson and wife Tara and their children Brooke, Ceana, Josie and Nadia of E. Andover, and Daniel Robinson of Waldoboro. He is also survived by his brother, Brian Robinson and wife Bonnie of Friendship; sister, Elaine Nutter and her husband Stephen of Lakeland, Fla.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St. in Waldoboro. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. at the Friendship Advent Christian Church, 19 Cushing Road in Friendship. There will be a reception immediately following the service to be held at the Hahn Center, 31 Main St. in Friendship.
