Troy C. Gamage, 52, of South Bristol, passed away at his home on the afternoon of April 13. Born in South Bristol on Aug. 23, 1961, he was the son of Arnold Sr. and Gloria (Chipman) Gamage.
Troy grew up in South Bristol and attended, and graduated from, South Bristol schools and later Lincoln Academy. After school, he worked as a fisherman and carpenter before being in a serious accident in 1989. He was an avid hunter, and shot many deer, both before and after his accident.
He loved NASCAR, and enjoyed watching the Deadliest Catch and The Voice. He and Lisa Benner, his companion since 1986, had two loyal and loving dogs, Abby and Buddy, and a cat, Oodie.
He was predeceased by his father, Arnold Gamage, Sr.; and a brother, Jerry Gamage.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Gamage; daughter, Jaime Gamage; grandson, Jordan Blanc; loving fiancée, Lisa Benner and her extended family; brother, Arnie Gamage, wife Gail, and their children, Adam, wife Tory and children, Sophie and Spencer, and Chad, wife Jen, son Blake, and Chad’s son Tanner; brother, Greg, wife Charlene and their children Travis, wife Trudy, and their children Zach and Kenzie, and Megan, husband Paul and their children, Chase, Braxton and Cody; many close aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as a very special friend, Samantha McLellan.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thurs., April 17 at the West Bristol Cemetery in Walpole, where he will be laid to rest with his father and brother.
