Veronica C. Miner, 85, of Hampton, N.H., died July 6 at Webster at Rye Health and Retirement in Rye, N.H.
She was born in Hartford, Conn., Aug. 15, 1929, a daughter of the late John and Rose (Moore) Sullivan.
The family moved to Cornerbrook, Newfoundland, Canada where she was raised. She later moved back to the United States living in Virginia, Florida, Massachusetts, and then settled in Hampton in 1981.
Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also liked Irish music, gardening, bird watching, and lighthouses.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh H. Miner Jr. in 1990; and son, Hugh H. Miner III in 2008.
Family members include children, Michael Miner and wife Sandra, Terence Miner and wife Brenda, Aileen Jansson and husband Warren, all of Charlton, Mass., Catherine Grindstaff and husband Elroy of Ocala, Fla., Robin Miner of Hampton, N.H., Maureen Pendleton and husband Robert, and Susan Miner of Damariscotta; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward, Teddy and Danny Sullivan; sister, Eleanor Hitz, all of Canada; and brother-in-law, George Miner of Tequesta, Fla.
Visiting hours will be from 5-8 p.m., Wed., July 8 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton, N.H. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thurs., July 9 in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Rd., Hampton, N.H. Burial will follow in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton, N.H. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
