Yvonne Ann Waltz, of Waldoboro, passed away Jan. 15. She was born on Nov. 13, 1941 to Frank and Hazel Creamer.
Yvonne worked very hard her whole life. She started shucking clams for her dad when she was around the age of 12, and again beside her husband Kenneth Waltz Sr. for their own clam business located at the fork in the road of Dutch Neck. When the business closed shortly after her husband’s death, she moved to Waldoboro Village Apartments where she started a new adventure watching everyone’s kids, shopping and picking up meds for her elderly friends who were housebound, and caring for her son. Her favorite pastime was having coffee and watching movies with her best buds Tim Winters and Randi Green. Her smile and laughter will be missed by many.
She was most known for her love for children. She was always on hand to help out with the grandkids plus all other children she knew. Everyone who knew her called her Nanny including the adults. Yvonne was loved by many.
Yvonne was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Hazel Creamer; husband, Kenneth Waltz Sr.; and granddaughter, Tasha Waltz.
Survivors include children, Linda Waltz Mountainland and husband John, Curtis Waltz, Chris Waltz, Diane McGuire (stepdaughter), Marguerite S. Dean (stepdaughter), Lori Mcauliffe (stepdaughter), and Kenneth Waltz Jr. (stepson) and wife Sarah; grandkids, Chelsea Lallier, Joey Waltz, Kristi McKeon and husband Aaron, Mike McGuire, and Wendy Greenrose; and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside celebration of life in June at the Dutch Neck Cemetery which will be announced in The Lincoln County News at a later date.
