To the Editor:
Maine has an unique natural environment, its beauty worthy of safeguarding.
Representative Jonathan McKane is and always has been a champion of our environment.
I was pleased to read in a recently received mailer that Rep. McKane has a strong record of sponsoring protection and conscientious use of our special environment, from mountains to seashore.
He was rated Outstanding by the League of Conservation Voters and has worked on legislation to promote careful use of the outdoors, places like Katahdin Lake; now a part of Baxter State Park.
I am voting for Jonathan McKane because I want our children and grandchildren to enjoy the natural beauty Maine offers. Rep. McKane knows what is important about our environment and how to take care of it.
