To the Editor:
For the grand opening of our FARMS Community Kitchen in Damariscotta last Tuesday (Sept. 30), our local farmers, grocers, bakers and other food producers donated a great plenty of delicious, very local food and drink from the land and also from the sea.
We are very grateful to all of them and to chef Chris Sprague, who prepared wonderful dishes from all these donations.
This month schoolchildren, teenagers, parents, grandparents and others from all over Lincoln County will begin signing up for hands-on cooking classes at the new Community Kitchen. Here’s to growing, preparing and sitting down together to great local food and drink.
