By the time this paper hits newsstands, all graduation ceremonies in the county will have concluded.
The end of one thing is the beginning of another and this life is too big to think about all at once, but for a moment, we hope everyone was able to stop what they were doing to cheer on the graduates as they ran across the stage and into the next chapter.
We can’t imagine or even begin to tell the graduates what comes next, because the honest answer is that we don’t know. We’re sure they’ll feel excited at some point, sad at others, but that’s life. As for what they’re feeling now, we hope it’s triumph. They did it.
We want to congratulate our graduates from all institutions and say how proud we are of you.
Wherever this life takes you, we want to remind you that you have a home here in Lincoln County. If your path takes you away, we hope you find time to come back and fill us in on what you’ve been doing. If your path keeps you here, we’re excited to have you and look forward to catching up in line at the grocery store.
Whether you’re down the street or across the world, don’t forget to call or write.
However, before you run off into the next adventure, here’s a little something for our graduates of all ages to consider: your graduation ceremony would have been a lot less fun without your peers, the teachers, and people in the audience you care about.
Success is always better when you get to share it with people you love.
